Who: Dance Beyond the Spectrum (DBS) is a group of volunteer students from Cal Poly who want to share their knowledge of dance with the San Luis Obispo community.

Started as a Dance Minor Project by 4th year biology major Misty Moyle, DBS aims to create an avenue for students to give back to the SLO community while applying Cal Poly's 'Learn by Doing' philosophy.

What: DBS is a weekly, free dance class for youth on the spectrum, ages 5-17. DBS is completely student run pilot program for what we hope will grow into a continued opportunity for youth affected by Autism Spectrum Disorder to experience the joys and benefits of dance.

When: Every Friday this Spring from 5-6pm (Parking is free on Cal Poly campus after 5).

Where: Cal Poly Dance Studio, Building 60, Room 6

Cost: Free.

Prior to class participation, a wavier and some supplementary paperwork will need to be completed.

If you have any questions about DBS, please feel free to contact Misty Moyle at dancebeyondthespectrum@gmail.com
